Took part in the Great America Clean-Up Project

Charlotte, NC – The Johnson C. Smith University football team volunteered their time and efforts for the Great American Clean-Up Project on Saturday March 20th at the Mint Hill Athletic Association Sport Complex on Brief Road. The Golden Bulls spent Saturday morning (7 AM) cleaning up the 9700th stretch of Brief Road in Charlotte.

This is the third time Johnson C. Smith has partnered with the Great American Clean-Up campaign. This year 16 student-athletes participated in the effort. The football program is in the process of coordinating a similar effort for the campus of JCSU.

“We were just doing our duty to help keep America clean,” said head coach Steven Aycock. “It is our responsible to perform service within the community and we'll continue this task throughout the season.”

The Golden Bulls had their initial spring practice on Friday, March 19th and will hold their annual inter-squad scrimmage on Sunday, April 11th at 1:00 pm.
