Fayetteville, NC – The Johnson C. Smith University women's tennis team easily topped Fayetteville State University 9-0 in divisional action Tuesday afternoon on the Capel Tennis Courts. JCSU improves to 12-10, 10-2 in the CIAA, and 6-1 in the Western division; while the Lady Broncos move to 2-9 overall and 1-7 in the conference.

Jae Hargett (Minneapolis, MN) started the contest off with an 8-1 win over Shontana Donegan and Kristy Mitchell in No. 1 doubles. Sophomore
Rolanda Sue (Charlotte, NC) and freshman
Margaret Jones (Newport News, VA) finished off Amber Mitchell and Tiane Ellis 8-1 at the No. 2 doubles position.
Junior
Tyra Breaux (Baltimore, MD) and sophomore
Camille Allen (Teaneck, NJ) completed the doubles dominance with an 8-0 victory against Jensine McMillian and Schanelle Ebanks at the No. 3 spot.
Fayetteville State did not put up much resistance in singles play; no competitor recorded more than two points in a set. J.C. Smith has not lost a match to FSU since 2008.
Johnson C. Smith returns to the Coleman-Cuthbertson Tennis Courts for the home season finale on Thursday, April 1 against Livingstone College. Match play is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm.
